Searching for a secluded lodging in the woods is not everyone’s cup of tea. However, for those who have an affinity with nature, they can spend some quality vacation in peace. There’s joy in staying in the woods surrounded by nature, and the nearest neighbor is beyond earshot.

Things to do
A cottage in the woods is no longer what it seems. These are no longer the old cabins where there’s no electricity, indoor plumbing, or even showers. There are even some places that have Wi-Fi and hot tubs. Inside the cabin, there are now modern amenities.
Outside, you can walk in the woods, enjoy the long hiking paths, fish in the stream or lake, or just read a book in a hammock. With the thick foliage, the sun is filtered and there’s a soft light under the trees. Additionally, you and your partner can swim in the lake or just have a long soak in the hot tub (with a beautiful view, of course). Cabins look like a traditional countryside cottage from the outside, as it blends with its surroundings.
In most places, especially those where there are cabins for rent, some parks within a short distance has plenty of activities for couples. You can ride ATVs and go off-road riding, fish in the lake, and enjoy some boating activity. These nature activities are within a short distance of where they’re staying. Of course, with the cabin’s elegant and natural surroundings, it’s always tempting to just stay inside the cabin for most of the day and laze away as a couple.
Modern wood cabins provide modern amenities for renters who are on their honeymoon or just want a romantic getaway. The cabin can also serve as a base while the couple explores and enjoys the other activities that the area or county has to offer.
Weddings are one of the most exciting events in one’s life. Prior to the big day, however, planning, stress, and endless decision making should be made. One of the things you and your fiancé have to consider is the venue. St. Paul, Minnesota is home to various venues perfect for wedding rentals.
Choosing the venue and building your plans around it
Before making your reservation, have an estimate of the number of guests you will have. Then, have an estimate of how much you are willing to spend for your wedding. These two things are the keys in knowing which venue you should book.
Events places and hotel ballrooms are great choices for indoor weddings. Couples who love the outdoors often opt to have tents rented and set-up in their preferred venues. Like indoor wedding venues, outdoor tent rentals also provide services such as flooring, table, and linen set-ups. Once you have the venue, things such as the theme, motif, decors and set-up can be made.
Ask, ask and ask!
Upon having your chosen venue, ask questions that are essential for your big day. Be aware of their reservation and cancellation policies, as well as the period of the venue rental, before closing the deal. Know which services are included with the venue rental such as lighting, flooring, music, etc. Venues usually offer food tasting. It is important to know the details about the food and complimentary if there are any. What if there is a low turnout of guest? Or bigger turnout than expected? Ask and verify with your venue the standard procedures for these possible scenarios to be aware.
These are just some points you need to be aware of. There is no standard manual for wedding planning as each couple has different preferences. However, with proper preparations, your big day can surely be your perfect day.
With Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm on their front line, Disney seems to have a handful of blockbusters in their midst. While these major media companies have brought box office hits to Disney, CEO Bob Iger informed analysts their plans of halting any splashy acquisition.
Iger is known for purchasing major media companies during his time as Disney’s head. He first bought Pixar and convinced the late Steve Jobs of bringing more life to the animation studio. Marvel Entertainment came next on his list some three years later, with the blockbuster film “The Avengers” in tow. The company has gained another hit this summer with “Iron Man 3” topping sales and earning more than $1 billion on a global scale. Lucasfilm completes Iger’s list with his plans of making future “Star Wars” films that may come out on 2015.
With these major acquisitions comes the question of any plans Iger may have. Disney’s CEO left a somewhat vague answer on the issue, but it may not be likely that there’d be more in the future. To catch an inside scoop about this news, visit this website.
